Tom Seward and his team at Aartistic Photography have been photographing weddings in Oregon for more than 15 years. Something old and something new for brides at Butterflies Studio & Gallery

Nestled in the historic business blocks of Main Street, Independence, Oregon, Butterflies Studio & Gallery’s business motto is “We make life pretty!” And wow, do they! The shop features high quality beads for crafters, and an eclectic variety of beautiful jewelry, purses, and other gift items. You can get great gifts off the shelf at the studio, but the shop specializes in custom-made jewelry, made to your exact desire.
Recently, a bride came into Butterflies Studio with her great-grandmother’s beautiful 1920’s-era cameo, and asked to have a set of bridal jewelry custom designed around the heirloom. Megan Nelson, owner and head designer for the gallery, sat down with the bride and came up with a beautiful tiara and bracelet to match, using a mix of platinum Swarovski crystals with freshwater pearls and gold beads. Megan also created unique gifts of custom-made bracelets for the bride’s mother and mother-in-law, as gifts the ladies will treasure forever.
