October Eugene 2009 Bride’s Survey Winner!

After every show, we email all of the brides who’ve registered over the weekend at our event and send them a survey regarding their experience with Oregon Wedding Showcase. Then after giving all of those gals (and grooms!) a chance to answer, we randomly select from the respondants and send them a prize. Our winner for the Eugene 2009 OWS Bridal Survey has now been selected, and it’s Jackie Brandt of Eugene!
Congrats, Jackie! We know you’ll enjoy the $50 in gift cards to Bates Steakhouse & Saloon!

Our Eugene Fashion Show was fabulous!

I wanted to share some photos with you from our Eugene fashion show, which is produced this year by Stacie Sisk of Moonlight Talent. Stacie, her staff, and her models have put on a fantastic fashion show! (Photos provided by Les of First Class Photography)
The girls were gorgeous up there on the runway, and the guys got roars of approval when they strutted their stuff. And as always, the littlest of models were the stars of the show!
A huge round of applause for the great talent of Moonlight Talent!! And kudos as well for the great guys & gals of EyeBeam Event Services, which decorates all of our shows and who designed such a fabulous stage for this year’s fashion show!!

Tips for brides coming to our Eugene January show!

A couple of tips for brides who are coming to our January 2010 Eugene Oregon Wedding Showcase:
* We have two fashion shows on Saturday, and two again on Sunday. On both days, the fashion shows will take place at 12:30 and again at 3:00 p.m. The fashion shows are a lot of fun, plus you get a chance to see a variety of gowns being worn. It’s fantastic to see these gowns in motion!
* The first 600 brides through the door will receive a complimentary Show Guide & Wedding Professionals Directory/Planner. This 3-ring binder has a variety of wedding planning information as well as a floorplan of the show, contact information for exhibitors, a line of march for the fashion, and extra pages just for your notes on the show. You can customize this view binder after the show and use it to organize all of your wedding planning!
* Be sure to register as you arrive at the show, as you’ll receive a one-year subscription to Brides Magazine, plus enter to win a Honeymoon Cruise vacation package!
* Brides who come on Saturday can ask to receive a complimentary pass back into the show for Sunday. This allows you to browse the Showcase on Saturday, and then come back on Sunday with your groom to show him your favorites!

Whether it’s preserving the sohpistication and romance of a wedding, capturing the magical moments of childhood, or the beautiful glow of maternity, Anne Nunn’s studio offers something special for her clients.
As always, Anne and her team put on a beautiful booth at the October 2009 Oregon Wedding Showcase in Eugene — and we were treated during the show with getting the meet the newest little Nunn, her son Lincoln, who was born in September!

Thank you to all of our vendors and all of our brides who came to the show — our Eugene October 2009 Oregon Wedding Showcase was wonderful! Our brides braved the wind, the wet weather, and even Swine Flu fears to turn out for the show, and we saw many a lovely wedding gown tried on (and taken home)!

Regarding Modern Bride magazine

On Saturday and Sunday, all of the brides who came to our Salem Oregon Wedding Showcase were told as they walked through the doors that they were being given a complimentary 1-year subscription to Modern Bride magazine.
On Monday morning, we were as shocked as everyone else to learn that the publishing house responsible for Modern Bride was immediately ceasing print of that magazine title. Having seen how eager many of our brides were at the promise of receiving their free 1-year subscription,we were mortified to hear about this! However, after some further investigation, we’ve got good news.
Instead of receiving a 1-year subscription to Modern Bride, all of our brides who register at the show will receive a 1-year subscription to Brides magazine. We think this is actually a win-win for our bride — she’ll get still receive high-quality magazine subscription, and where Modern Bride only went to press every other month, Brides is a monthly publication!
