Featuring Our Photographers…
October 27, 2009
One of the great pleasures of going to an Oregon Wedding Showcase is the chance to see a luscious variety of fantastic wedding photos. Each wedding photographer has a visual style as unique as their fingerprint, and the range of wedding photos displayed at the bridal show range from classic and traditional, to stunningly theatrical or heart-stopping dramatic; urban chic to down-home country.
As our brides are waiting between show dates for the next Oregon Wedding Showcase, we’re going to take a moment and use our Brides Blog featured image slideshow to present a gallery of some of our 2009/2010 wedding photographer’s own favorite wedding shots. We’re inviting all of our exhibiting photographers in this season’s shows to send us up to six wedding photos, and we’ll swap older photos out for new ones as our photographers decide to do so. So check back often to enjoy new photos in our dynamic gallery!

AP Poll: For wedding guests, ceremony is fave part!
June 15, 2009
According to a recent Associated Press poll, the part of your wedding your guests like the least is the receiving line! And what guests like the most? Watching your wedding ceremony, following by enjoying the music and dancing, seeing the bride in her gown, the toasts and speechifying, the cutting-of-the-cake hi-jinks, and old traditional elements like the tossing of the bouquet and of the garter.
According to this poll, your female guests will most enjoy the ceremony and seeing you in your gown, while your male guests are just waiting to get at the food you’ll be serving at your reception. Your gals at the wedding least appreciate the receiving line… while the guys? The poll’s most surprising finding is that the least favorite wedding element for the guys is seeing the bridesmaid’s dresses!
